Global Networking Week returns, virtually

Now in its eighth year, Tulane’s upcoming Global Networking Week couldn’t come at a more important time. The virtual event will be held Sept. 21-25.

“It's vital that we engage the power of the Tulane alumni network,” said Nicole Bush, director of Alumni Career Services.

The event will be held virtually this year, and alumni can sign up here to register.

Throughout the week, Alumni Career Services will encourage alumni to connect with each other one-on-one or in small groups using the technology in place for the program.

There is also an industry spotlight day on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in which focused discussions relevant to a range of industries will be held throughout the day. Industry experts will give 10- to 15-minute talks on the state of their field, the effect of COVID-19 and diversity initiatives. Attendees will be able to break out for discussions.

The focus of Global Networking Week is on connecting alumni with each other, but current students are also welcome to join. The event might be especially appealing to recent grads, who may be experiencing job loss or seeking their first postgraduate job, but people at all stages in their careers are encouraged to take part.

Bush said the event will harness the legendary strength of the global Tulane network: “Alumni professionals need each other now more than ever.”
